Vintage Razor Blades and Wrappers

I came across this collection of vintage razor blades in wrappers. They are mostly Swedish and I would guess they are mainly from the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s.

The hobby of collecting these I know nothing about, however I can imagine it was pretty popular once upon a time. Being an affordable household item with varying and often elaborate design it must have been much like collecting matchboxes/books, bottle caps or cheap stamps.

If anyone has information on the subject or can point to a place of information, let us know.

Design: More Vintage Japanese Matchbox Labels

There's something special
about the graphic design of vintage Japanese matchboxes. These examples are from wackystuff's Flickr set called Cool Factor 5 (Matches).
Maraid has even more: japanese matchbox labels

Design: Italian Pastille Box Wrappers

Italian candy producer
Leone has some great designs for their pastille box wrappers. The first one is absinthe flavor and is only one item in a range of products Leone makes with "the green fairy".
The "caffé" wrapper retro design made me think of the great Italian artist Fortunato Depero's brilliant advertising art.
